This Privacy Policy describes how Se-EBikes ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website, mobile app, or rental services.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to take a reservation, deliver the rental, and meet legal/financial recordkeeping requirements.

• Booking information. Your first and last name, email address, and phone number, entered when you make a reservation.
• Payment information. We are SOC 2 compliant and never directly have access to your card information. We do store the amounts charged and an identifier that lets us charge your card at pickup and place your security-deposit hold.
• Rental records. The bikes and add-ons you reserved, dates and times, pickup and return events, the signed agreement (stored as an image), and any roadside-assistance requests you initiated during the rental.
• Location data (in-app, opt-in). When you use the in-app map or roadside-help feature, the app may use your device's location to render directions and pass coordinates to our on-call team. Location data is used only in the moment and is not retained for tracking purposes.
• Bike GPS data. The bikes carry GPS trackers. We cannot locate them while rented — only you have access to the bike's location through the app. Trackers can be used to recover the bike in the event of theft.
• Reviews and ratings (optional). If you choose to post a review on a point of interest, your review text and rating are stored under your account.
• App analytics and crash reports. Standard mobile telemetry — no identifying data beyond what's already in your reservation.
• Website analytics. We use website analytics to understand aggregate visitor behavior — which pages people view, how they arrived, roughly where in the world they are. Analytics data is not tied to your reservation or account and does not identify you personally.

How we use this information

• To deliver the rental — process the reservation, charge the payment method at pickup, hold and release the security deposit, dispatch roadside help, and process the return.
• To communicate with you — confirmation emails, receipt emails, and reservation-related messages.
• For legal and accounting recordkeeping — Puerto Rico sales tax records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention.
• To improve the Service — aggregated usage patterns, never tied back to an individual.

Third parties we use

We share the minimum data necessary with third-party service providers to deliver the service — including payment processing, SMS verification, email delivery, mapping, and website analytics. Each operates under their own privacy terms.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not run advertising on the Service.

How long we keep it

• Active rental records are kept for the duration of the rental plus the period required for accounting and dispute resolution (typically up to 7 years).
• Booking confirmations and receipts are kept indefinitely as part of our financial records, in the form required for tax compliance.
• Reviews remain visible until you delete them.
• Location data shared through the app's map or roadside-help features is not retained beyond that session.

Your rights

You can request:

• Access to the personal information we hold about you.
• Correction of inaccurate information.
• Deletion of your account and reviews, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements (financial records may persist).

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we've collected such data, we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our cloud providers, and access controls limiting who on our team can see your information. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the website and apps. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you the most recent revision.
